Product introduction
The self-locking wedge clamp is composed of an aluminum alloy tapered C-shaped member and a wedge. It's not a tension bearing fitting which is widely used to connect the aluminum stranded and ACSR conductors, aluminum stranded and copper stranded conductors, and the copper stranded conductors in sever polluted religions.
Features and Benefits
·Elastic Distoration, Consistent Grip: the high quality material and specific workmanship made the C-shape member have good elasticity. Combining with the design of the wedge, together with the connecting wires to form a "key" connection system, which will effectively eliminate the clamp burned problem because of “heat expansion and cold contraction” and poor contact.
·Simple Grip measurement: The C-shape member is designed with a stress measuring device. According to the elastic distoration, it will measure the grip condition of C-shape member in Real-time. Rap the wedge until the stress patch goes into the semicircle slot, which means the C shape member has the best grip, to ensure the optimum connection of the conductor and clamp.
·Self-locking design: the zigzag locking slot and locking tab in the C-shape member and wedge make sure a long-term and reliable connection of the conductor and clamp.
·Repeated use: when dismounting, rotate the screw clockwise to take off the locking tab, and rap the wedge in the opposite direction until departing from the C-shape member. The repeated use will reduce the stock. The advanced design idea overcomes the sensitivity of traditional clamps to the conductor sizes. The wedge clamp could be applied to multiple conductor combination.
·Easy installation: rap with a hammer, no special tools needed.
Installation and Dismount
1.choose clamp
Choose a suitable clamp according to the conductor combinations.
2.Fix the clamp
Unscrew the stress patch, put the tap conductor into the bottom slot of C-shape member according the main conductor mark"▲"in the wedge(no mark is the tap side),and then hook the C-shape member and tap conductor over main conductor.
3. Install the clamp Rotate and positioned the stress patch to semicircle slot.Then tap the wedge. With the
wedge placed into, the C-shape member gradually occurs elastic distoration until the stress patch
is slipped into
the semicircle slot. At the same time, the locking tab will be snapped to the locking slot to
prevent wedge from loosening. After installation completed, the Cshape member is slightly
open, to generate the elastic distoration which will guarantee the constant contact pressure
between the conductor and clamp.
4.Dismount of Clamp
Rotate the screw clockwise to take off the locking tab, and rap the wedge in the opposite
direction until it departing from the C-shape member.
5.Repeated use
Rotate the screw anticlockwise to lay down the locking tab, and then the clamp can be re-used.
