GW5 modified disconnector is a three-phase high voltage electric equipment .It is used for switching high-voltage circuit under no load and carries out electrical isolation to the overhauled high voltage bus, circuit breakers and other electrical equipment with live high voltage lines. With features of various types, reliable performance, simple structure, easy installation and maintenance, broad application range, wide versatility. It adopts special installation methods which results in more flexible wiring layout of substation, small land occupation, and saving metal frame. There are three installation ways contain reverse mounted, side mounted and inclined 25 ° mounted. The reverse type is made of supporting insulator with reverted umbrella .It is better to use silicon rubber insulator for side or reversal installation. This disconnector can be equipped with single or double earthing switches, can divided into Ⅰ and Ⅱ type according to the bearing capacities of short circuit current. Product Outline and Installation Dimensions
Operating Principle
As the diagram shown, the separate single-pole disconnectors in the same horizontal level are linked by the adjustable rod, connecting rod and crank arm, and makes three-phase linkage with an operating mechanism. The operating mechanism could be installed under any phase and connected to the bearing in disconnector pedestal, then it realizes the opening and closing operation. When opening, set the handle in horizontal position, and then horizontally rotate it which drive one column of supporting insulator rotate and the other column will rotate at same time via bevel gear,so the opening and closing actions of the two columns are consistent. After operation, hold up the handle and fasten it by a clamping ring. The earthing switch carries out the opening and closing operation by rotating it in vertical direction via a set of connecting rod. The auxiliary switch and main shaft of mechanism directly connect. In case of opening and closing operation, corresponding contacts will be opened or closed so as to send out corresponding opening and closing signal. The mechanism is equipped with an interlock plate which can ensure the sequential action of main open, earthing close,earthing close, main open. The manual mechanism has an electromagnetic lock and accessories to be installed on the mechanism top ,which realizing electrical interlocking among the disconnecting switch, earthing switch and circuit break and reducing the operation errors.
Operation and maintenance
1．A fully inspection should be carry out before commissioning.
2. To check if the dimension of each part confirms to the requirements.
3. The screws in the connecting parts should be firmly fixed.
4. Operate the disconnector for several times, make sure no clamping stagnation.
5. Contacting position shall contact well, and measure the circuit resistance.
Periodical inspection after commissioning
1. The disconnector can not operate until cutting off the load.
2. If the disconnector is equipped with an earthing switch,the earthing blade can not close until the disconnector blade opens to its finalposition, otherwise, the disconnector blade can not close until the earthing blade opens to its final position.
3.Conduct comprehensive inspection on the disconnector every year and pay attention to the following items in the inspection：Clean the dirt , maintain conductive contacting surface and apply industrial Vaseline；
Inspect each part and, in case of damage, conduct repair and replacement；Inspect 3-phase synchronization of high speed main blade and closing condition of the earthing blade；
Inspect the looseness of each tightening part；Inspection operating condition and lockout of the mechanism；Inspect the correctness of indication of the auxiliary switch；Apply lubrication grease on each mechanical operation position；Remove rust and apply paint completely on muter surface.
